Christmas Season 2018

Christmas! My favorite time of the year, after summer of course. You know me, I'm all about doing ALL THE THINGS and keep you kids busy busy during this season.

The beginning of the month always starts off with a visit from the elf who brings you all Christmas pjs, advent calendar and other festive goodies. I love seeing your little faces build with excitement over the treats.

Daddy and I have thrown a Christmas party for our friends for the past 6 years now and it's one of our favorite events. Our friends, your friends, lots of food and drinks and all you kids running around in Christmas pjs; it's the best. We had a big crowd this year. You all loved having the basement to play in and we barely heard a peep from your boys all evening.

Another of our traditions is the Santa Brunch at Chadwicks with our close group of friends. You boys are still not wanting to be too close to Santa but will tolerate having your photo taken because of the promise of candy canes. Hayley you were not a fan either of the jolly guy. I think the 3 of your ate your weight in candy canes though.

We did lots of little things too like candy cane hunts around the house, making Christmas presents for your grandparents. We did our annual tour of the local Christmas lights, with chocolate milk and munchkins of course! Chase you were completely inspired to light up our house like some of the houses we saw, along with music and all. I think you would do an amazing job! Of course we had to write our letters to Santa and take them to his own mailbox in town. I think one of your favorite Christmas activities is the decorating of your gingerbread house. Mummy actually failed this year and didn't get the prebuilt one from Costco. We tried to build one but it was a complete disaster, so one day when you boys were in school, Ally, myself and Hayley went looking all over for a prebuilt kind. Ally came to the rescue by seeing them at Wegmans! You even got one each which was really fun to see how you individually decide how to make those houses come to life. We also made it to Lights in the Village at church. Asher had all of his dreams come true by getting to meet a lot of the superheros but most importantly Captain America.

Even though this year was a little more subdued than usual with us loosing Pop Berry in the middle of all the holiday madness, it was a nice month with you kids. It was very hard for Daddy and I some days to keep the holiday cheer going but we want these Christmas seasons to be so magical for the 3 of you, and Pop Berry would want it that way also.
