Christmas season 2019

What a Christmas season it was this year! I seriously love this time of year and you three make it the best! I love love love doing all of the fun activities, decorating the tree together and reliving all of the Christmas magic with you guys!

We always put up our tree the weekend right after Thanksgiving. Boys, you are getting experts at assembling the tree. Hayley, you got to decorate this year for the first time. You were so proud of yourself and loved looking at your collection of your very own ornaments.

Of course we watched many, many Christmas movies; Home Alone and Home Alone 2 were hands down your favorites. You were quoting Kevin long after the holiday season was over.

Of course we hosted our annual Christmas party with all of our friends. I want to say we had about 60 people in our house. It was by far our largest, and loudest party yet. It was a blast though and seeing you kids in your Christmas pjs is the cutest.

One of your favorite activities is Gingerbread House decorating. All 3 of you had your own to decorate. Chase you were well seasoned and could even handle the icing this year. It amazes me how much your designs change from one year to the next. You all, even you Hayley, had a plan in mind and a certain way you wanted your house to look. I was so proud to display them on our kitchen island all month long.

This year we added in the Christmas Train Ride. We went to Lancaster to Stroudsburg railroad to meet Santa on the tracks. We did this to remember the day that Pop Berry left us for Heaven. I know it's exactly how he would have wanted to remember his passing. It was hands down one of the favorite things he ever did with you guys. All 3 of you were beyond excited to see Santa appear. You told him what you would like and he gave you a Christmas ornament. We had a lot of Santa sightings this year; we went to our annual Santa Brunch at Chadwicks and Santa even came around our neighborhood on a fire truck and handed out candy canes.

One of my favorite traditions is piling in the car in pjs with hot chocolate and munchkins to tour the local Christmas lights, as we listen to Christmas music of course.

Aaand we can't forget writing Santa your Christmas lists and putting them in his special mailbox in town. This year Chase asked for an Iron Man coding hand, Asher asked for a basketball hoop and Hayley asked for a dollhouse.
