Asher James: 20 Weeks

The big news this week was of course finding out our BabyP2 is a boy!!!! For me finding out the gender makes it feel all the more real and gets me even more expected for the arrival.

Along with the ultrasound I also had our 20 week checkup at the doctors office. Not too much to report really, which is good news.

How far along: 20 weeks
Gender: I was right...its a boy!
Baby's heartbeat: 138bpm
Weight gain: 9lbs so far
Maternity clothes: Maternity shorts and pants all of the time. My tops I use both maternity and non maternity
Stretch marks: No new ones
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: Sleep has been great recently (minus the one night James had a sinus infection and due to his snoring I literally saw the sun come up). I don't need to nap everyday which is great as it's my time to get things done around the house
Best moment this week: Finding out we have a healthy boy
Miss anything: Chase was a bit of a handful this week and a glass of wine at the end of the day would have been amazing
Movement: Feeling bigger kicks and punches daily. James even felt him move once
Cravings: Chinese food
Queasy or sick: I've really been able to cut back on the Zofran. On average I'm only needing it once every few days. My back has really been bothering me the past few days, oh joy!
Looking forward to: starting to get things ready for the lil guy

And its a.....

BOY!!!!! My guess has been a boy since day 1 but I am usually terrible at this game was so I was kind of expecting a girl to appear on the screen but nope, another little adorable boy :) James and I are beyond excited to have two little boys running around, creating all kinds of chaos lol. While we were excited to find out the gender, more than anything we were relieved to hear that he looks completely healthy.

Because the lil guy was sooooo active the entire appointment it took quite a while to get all of the measurements down that the doctor needed, which meant we got more time to see him. He has the same profile as Chase when we had his ultrasound, more chubby cheeks to pinch! We thought Chase was active at this point, that was nothing, this lil one is a ham already. He kept looking so we could see his face clear as day on the screen, was doing all kinds of rolls and flips, and at one point he looked like he as waving. Incase you can't tell, we are completely in love with him already. At this point he weighs an estimated 140z, so teeny tiny!

Only another 19 weeks (at most) until we get to hold this sweet boy in our arms and start as a family of 4. I can't wait for Chase to teach him all he knows and begin their life long relationship of brothers and best friends.

We have decided to call our little love Asher James <3 p="">

Mothers Day Fun

Hands down it was the best Mother's Day yet. I know I don't have that many to go on but it really was the perfect day with my boys. We have finally hit summer here and so all I wanted to do was to get to a beach and put my toes in the sand, so we did :) We drove to Rehoboth Beach in DE. It's a smaller baech but has a boardwalk with some rides and it's home to Go Brit, the fish and chippy over here. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, was around 80 degrees and a nice breeze to top it off.

After eating a quick lunch it was time to hit the sand! Chase was thrilled to finally put his Mickey Mouse beach tool kit to use that his cousins Jenna and Justin had gotten him from their trip to Disney. He plopped right down in the sand and got to digging, and proceeded to throw the sand everywhere! It took him a while to notice the ocean but once he did there was no stopping him. "me, me me," while pointing at the ocean was on repeat until we got up and took him to see it. If we hadn't been holding his hands he would have ran right in, this kid loves water. We spent about 30 mins jumping the waves and I don't think I have ever seen him so happy. That's what being a Mum is all about right, making your kids happy.

Next up was hitting the rides that Pop Berry had found along the boardwalk. The only thing that made Chase happier than jumping waves was riding the merry go round! Wow you would have thought it was on a real horse with the squeals of excitement escaping his little mouth. Quite possibly the cutest moment I have yet to witness. We also went on the tea cups which spun waaay faster than any teacup I have ever been on, and a driving truck ride. We did attempt to put him no a ride where I couldn't go on, but it wasn't happening. I wasn't even out of the ride gate and he was screaming his head off. It's ok, next summer we will work on that.

We ended the day with a dinner at Go Brit. If you want a taste of a real deal chippy then this place is a must and the 2 1/2 hour drive is totally worth it.

It was such a fun day and I had the best time with the loves of my life, my two boys. It's crazy to think that next year there will be an extra little one tagging along :)
